This book contains a history of the well known German fighter plane during World War II. The author describes: the development, manufacture and utilization of the plane from 1936 to 1945, adding technical details, data and information about foreign production and combat use during combat operations. In addition, German Luftwaffle fighter pilots are quoted which provides first hand experience about flying these popular aircraft. To conclude the book, there is a helpful glossary of terms.

Throughoutare historic photographs and terrific drawings by Watanabe which include: a cutaway of the whole plane, depictions of various models, details about the cockpit, and reproductions of the various insignias the plane flew under. Several of these occupy fold-outs of 3 pages.

Published by Crown in 1980. Oversized: 10 ½” X 13”. 48 pages.

This hardback book is in like new condition with little show of wear around the dust jacket.
