This sale is for a metal and enameled Uncle Sam with a rifle on his shoulder and a back pack marked \"U.S.\" on his back. According to my research, these were pins from 1898 showing Uncle Sam enroute to Cuba to fight in the Spanish-American war. It is missing its pin and clasp on the back. It measures 2 inches tall and 1 1/4 inches across at the widest point. I got this in a bag of military patches and pins and will be listing some others pieces shortly.
