Erik Nording began manufacturing his Hunter Series pipes back in 1995 and it has been a very popular series ever since. These two pipes are a pair of the 2001 Hunter Series pipes that were inspired by mallard ducks! One pipe is in a nice smooth finish and the other has a very strong sandblast finish. Each pipe has a sterling silver military mount that is hallmarked with .925 in an oval to indicate its silver content. The bottom of the bowl is stamped with 2001 over HANDMADE over BY over ERIK NORDING.
These pipes are in wonderful unsmoked condition. The rim of the bowl is very crisp and the inside of the bowl is smooth and clean. The stems are capped in sterling silver and include the ubiquitous large script \"N\" and don\'t show any bite marks. As you would expect, the stamping on the bowl is clean and crisp. The packaging is crisp, clean and complete. Each pipe includes the original plastic pipe bag, the original leather pipe bag, the original pipe description sheet (in Danish), and the original pipe tube (also in Danish).
Each pipe is approximately 6.25 inches long and has a bowl that is approximately 1 5/8 inches tall with an outside diameter of 1 3/4 inches and an inside diameter of 7/8 inches with very nice walls. The smooth pipe weighs a chunky 56 grams and the sandblast pipe weighs aslightlysvelter 50 grams.
