This listing is for examples of BOTH varieties of quart sized bottles in the photo--approx 9\" high and they are HEAVY, hence the shipping cost. Depending on where you live I might be able to ship UPS cheaper but I cannot guarantee it.

CONDITION: Since I am offering multiple sets, not all will look exactly the same condition-wise but will ALL be the same overall grade which is fine to excellent with some minor wear to lettering or images. PLEASE NOTE--these are not 1930s era Disney milk bottles.

CAUTION---DO NOT WASH THESE BOTTLES (either by hand or in the dishwasher). I have had 2 people over the years buy these and run through dishwasher or hand wash and the images COME OFF, further evidence they are not original.

Here\'s the story........(of a lovely con man)--in the 1980s, there was a dairy in Hawaii called HILO. There was a discovery of quite a few AUTHENTIC 1930s milk bottles in their warehouse (or some facility) as they had been in business for decades. But these were PINT SIZED.....not quart.

An unscrupulous individual in the late 80s (located in the Joplin MO area) took the Hilo images off the pint bottles (which say WD ENT) and put them on quart bottles. Now, the bottles themselves might actually be old. Apparently he found an old dairy that had a lot of old stock bottles BUT the images were put on there by him, or someone acting for him, in the 1980s.

I ran into him at a mall antique show in my area around 1988. At that time, authentic Disney milk bottles were bringing $150-300. He was asking $25 a pair. I thought it was a gift from God ! So I contacted him later and bought a lot more---maybe 50-75.

My wife was pregnant with our first baby and I thought this would pay for the birth and then some. And I was selling them like hotcakes for $150-200 PER BOTTLE. Eventually I became aware that this individual was a well known fraud in the milk bottles collector\'s community. The collector\'s newsletter had even written him up several times BY NAME. So I took back all the REPRO bottles from my customers and gave them credit for merchandise as I could not afford at that time to refund their money. Of course the individual continued to lie even when I confronted him with the information.

I had these buried for 20 years because seeing them ticked me off. But now, I need space and they gotta go.
