MID 19TH CENTURY COGNAC WITH SEAL, DUNKIN AND SON, PONTIL, GOLDFIELDS:

A cognac bottle with a seal that stands about 12 inches/ 30.5 cms in mid olive green glass, which I think probably dates around 1850. The seal reads DUNKIN & SON CHAMPAGNE COGNAC BORDEAUX. The glass is smoothly worn in places especially on the higher points such as the edge of the seal, so possibly it was a sea or river recovered bottle which would cause this ,otherwise it is in sound condition. It has a sheared and re-fired lip with a few tiny nicks to the edge of this, but of no significance, with a crudely formed \'collar\' below. The kick up under the base appears pontiled
