1950s Ben Seibel designed Jenfred-Ware line for Raymor. Arguably the most desired form in the Jenfred-Ware bookends ... many call this pair Orb, Stirrup but they were known simply as BE501 back in the day they were produced and distributed by Raymor.They have a teardrop form to them, and are a must have for the Mid-Century design enthusiast. This pair was made in the 1950s, and is exceptionally well preserved. The Jenfred-Ware line was basically a white metal (copper zinc/aluminum mix) with a heavy double coat finish - usually available in Copper, Bronze, Brass or Silver. This pair has the brass finish. Most ... nearly all the Jenfred-Ware pieces have some cracks to be found on them. Not this pair ... it is exceptionally well preserved, SHINY and clean finish/patina. Some honest blemishes validate their age, the most visible example of which I took a close-up of (see final picture). Each bookend weighs exactly 2 lbs and they measure about 5.5\" W x 4\" D x 5.75\" H.
