Original, signed and numbered Lithograph by well known WPA artist, Gerald Mast. This work is one of the very rare examples found in private collections. His most famous work, \"The Mast Murals\", are displayed in a Clare, Michigan School and were created during the Works Progress Administration (WPA), and although owned by the US Government, were valued at $20M in 1988 when they were cleaned by Dayton Spence, art restoration specialist and historian of American Art, and are recognized as some of he largest WPA murals in existence composed by a single artist, and were said to be \"...an historic treasure that will rise in national prominence with each passing year.\" Other than these works, most of his remaining work was donated to The Smithsonian by his daughter and are part of the Gerald Mast Papers collection, and very little of this important artist\'s work comes available for public purchase.
This Lithograph, created in 1964 is pencil signed, with the year pencil written beside the signature and pencil numbered as 33/35. A true example of mid century modernism, executed in a very Miro-esque style.
Litho has no tears and only slight discoloration around the edges. It is poorly/cheaply framed and will be removed from the frame for shipping to avoid glass breakage damaging the piece. It will be securely wrapped and rolled and doubled boxed for shipping purposes. Litho measures 22.5\" x 15.25\", and will be an excellent addition to your collection. Shadows appear in photos that are not present on Lithograph.

I sell pre-owned estate items, mostly all used and/or vintage/antique that are acquired from sale, estate sales, garage sales, etc. Very few of my items are perfect, and I try to describe and disclose any issues I see. However, what my opinion is of an item may differ from yours. This is another reason I offer returns with no hassles. Since I offer a guarantee, I respectfully ask that you contact me via the \"contact seller\" option on the original item page, and I will open a \"buyer wishes to return item\" case to assure that you are protected in your return via \'s buyer protection. Star Ratings: You will be asked to rate my seller performance on a \"star scale\". I strive to assure every transaction is a 5-star experience. I ship within 24 business hours of payment (Saturday/Sunday is not a business day). I also never charge more than actual shipping on domestic shipments within the 50 states. I cannot control shipping costs and charge exactly what it would cost you to go to the post office and ship to me. Valuable items are almost always shipping via Priority Mail. Priority Mail takes 2-3 days to be delivered. Parcel Post takes 7-9 days. Why would either of us want to give the Post Office 3 times longer to destroy a package? Combined Shipping: If you are interested in more than one of my items, just add them to your cart and check out, and request an invoice from me. Again, I will charge you only the cost that the post office would charge you if you shipping me the same item. I am not interested in padding shipping costs.
Security: Multiple photos of the items are taken prior to sale and prior to shipping. I may even video the packaging so that we are both protected if an insurance claim becomes necessary. I am also able to positively identify any damages or differences to an item after shipment for this reason. This helps assure that you receive the item that I sent in the same condition as advertised, and helps assure that if there are any problems, that I receive insurance claim reimbursement by being able to prove that the item was sent in good condition. This is why I request that all original packaging materials and box also be returned with the item. The postal insurance requires these items, so I must be able to provide them. I may request photos from you if the item is received damaged so that I can get a head start on a claim while the item is being returned. Valuable items may contain a tamper-proof holographic \"void if removed\" security tag attached. If tag is present on item, please carefully inspect item upon receipt, notify me of any issues, and return with tag intact. Items with tag removed or tampered indicate your acceptance of item are not eligible for return.
