A wonderfully Modernist trio of cast solid brass falcons- each perched in a triangulated, sentry position- on a gorgeous, hand carved wood, star/propellor form base. The condition is excellent in all elements of this unique sculptural composition. The brass falcons have minimalist engraved/incised detail-w/smooth, satin patina- no oxidation or mottling. The exceptionally carved grain & tones of thesolid wood base most closely suggests a rosewood variety. Unsigned/unlabeled above the felted base, this exceptional sculpture was most likely designed & produced in Korea- circa \'60s -during that thriving period of artisanal decor exports.
