Mid Century Studio Pottery Ikebana Leonora Morrow Volcanic Glaze:

A very beautiful and large 19 3/4\" studio pottery Ikebana signed by Leonora Morrow. The volcanic glaze is truly unbelievable. There are a few \"pops\" in the volcanic glaze, but these look like they happened in the making. The last picture shows the largest popped glaze bubble to the left if you zoom in. Please see all the photos and zoom in to see the glaze. It looks like the 3 \"chimneys\" were all separately made and attached to the ball center. The 10\" stem that the ball sits on looks to also be a separate piece. Therefore, it seems that 5 pieces of pottery were formed and attached to make this beautiful Ikebana. If you\'d like more information on Leonora Morrow, you can google her name. It is interesting to read why she became a potter. I have been waiting to see another Ikebana sold on to determine where I should begin this sale, but have not been successful. Evidently, her pottery doesn\'t come up very often.
