From an estate sale and we are not going to bother trying to identify it. The blade has the edge on the inside of the curve. Clearly a hand forged piece with plain wooden grip topped with a simply decorated copper crown.
Sheath is decorated to match the crown, but clearly something is missing. Either there was a leather or metal sleeve at the top of the scabbard, or at the ricasso of the blade.
Hopefully this will be an easy restoration project for someone who knows what it is supposed to look like!
