Middle Eastern Inlaid and Painted Table Casket/Box: thislovely box is covered with small tiles and then hand painted with a thick highrelief paint, depicting flowers and garlands in small painted windows. Thecraftsman ship in making this box is very good. It is hard to see the linesbetween the tiles, they fit so well. The inside and also the underside is linesin a deep blue velvet. The casket has a hinged lock that can take a pad lock.This makes it a perfect place to store valuables or jewelry. The hinged lid isheld by a small chain. The brass hinges look to have new screws, so the pieceis very sound.

Measurements are: 9 ¼” by 6 ¼” and 7 ½” tall.
