This tiny book measures just 5.5 x 7.8 x 1.8 cms, but has 242 pages and translates 2500 words.There are English - French and French - English translation sections as well as weights and measures, dialogues, geographical and automobile terms, Christian names, culinary terms etc. As it is a 1940 edition, the last section is military terms.It has a red linen cover and mottled red page edges.
It has survived in remarkably good clean condition for its age; the binding is still very good. At some point it must have been dropped because many of the pages are creased at the top corner (see photos).
