A LOVELY porcelain demitasse cup and saucer set from Mintons. Has the import mark of Davis Collamore in New York City. There is an embossed year cypher on the back of the saucers but I can\'t make it out. Antique as I found this information:The Minton Globe mark on the back was used by the company during 1873-1912. The Davis Collamore & Co Ltd. On Fifth Ave & 37th ST in New York were rivals to Tiffany they were in business from 1820-1887. This puts your plate as to being made during the years of 1873-1887. Orders from a catalog and had no specific design name. You would order Minton china made for Tiffany or Minton china made for Davis Collamore &Co. The china was known by their name and there was only one pattern number it was exclusive made for the companies.
The set is so lovely! Davis Collamore sold the ROLEX of the dinner table at the time, I have TWO of these sets available in yellow for purchase separately. Sale is for EACH and I have others in the same pattern but different base colors like yellow and blue.
