This print is from a rare portfolio ofhigh quality photogravure prints dating from 1904. The printing method was the mechanical photogravure-- an extremely high-end printing method of the Victorian/Edwardian erathat delivered incredible detail and no dot matrix pattern.

The print depicts the Pagoda at the Forest Park in St. Louis Missouri. The Twentieth Century was born in Forest Park with the grandeur and spectacle of the Louisiana Purchase Exhibition -- The World\'s Fair of 1904. From April 30 through December 1, 1904, more than 20 million people went to the fair, an average of more than 100,000 each day.

This incredibly beautiful photogravure is single-sided. It wasglued onto gray paper by the corners. It would probably be fairly easy to steam off the photogravure, but I have not tried.

Tons of detail in this print, and beautiful tones. This would look wonderful framed.

The grey page measures10 x8 inches (25 x 20cm), and the actual image area is about5.75 x 7.75inches (14.5 x 20cm).
