Montblanc Meisterstuck 149, the company\'s extra-large Flagship model, with a big broad nib. From its characteristics and the excellent dating tools on the web, I\'d say it\'s from 1965-1968:
Nib: 18C three-tone.
Feed: round ebonite, grooves in face.
Barrel construction: single unit.
Piston mechanism and filler threads: friction fit, plastic threads.
Clip: rounded top, \"Germany\" on ring, no serial number.
Good used condition with some nicks and scratches, no cracks. I tested the filling mechanism and it does fill.
The nib writes nicely with a broad line and a small amount of flex. I would estimate that this was graded as a broad nib when sold, but of course it\'s not marked, and I do not have any known Montblanc mediums or broads to compare. So please see the writing samples and photos.
Length is about 5 3/4 inches.
A great-looking vintage149 with a nice fat nib.
