A rare mid century mixed mediaoil and ink on canvas by Moshe Katz of two rabbis at the Wailing Wall. The painting is 26\" by 21\" framed and 24\" by 20\" sight size, and is in excellent condition with no stains, tears, holes, etc. This expressionistic styled painting is quite intriguing and attractive, yet intensely emotionally evocative.

Moshe Katz was born in Bucharest, Romania in 1937 and fled with his family from the Nazis. After story in many countries, they reached Israel where Katz became an Israeli citizen. He studied art at the Bezalel Academy of Art in Jerusalem, as well as at the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts. Moshe was fascinated with the textures and expression he was able to obtain with the palette knife. His painting have been widely exhibited since 1965.
