A very unusualpiece by Adie and Lovekin. Fullyhallmarked Birmingham1907, the mother of pearl shell acts as a small dish upon a silver base. We’re not too sure what it would’ve been usedfor, but it’s a very beautiful item. Theedge of the shell does have a small chip and there are some very small dings onthe edge of the silver base. It measuresapprox 4.1 cm (1.6 inches) high and the circular base is 3.3 cm (1.3 inches)across.
Whateverthis items intended purpose was, this would make an intriguing and beautifuladdition to your collection.
