This trunk kit will make your life much easier while you are touring around the country after dark. Simply open the trunk and the light automatically comes on! The light automatically turns off when you close the trunk. It is that simple. Never search around for your flashlight again.

Please Note: You must be able to mount both sides of the switch (the part that goes on the \"lid\" and the part that goes on the compartment within 3/4 of an inch (3/4\") or the switch will not function properly.

When mounted properly this light does not use any power from the battery when the trunk is closed.

This kit can also be used as a saddle bag light kit as long as the switch can be mounted in compliance with the mounting requirements noted above.

Another alternative for trunk and saddle bag lighting is mounting our white super bright 9 LED strips in or above the trunk or saddle bags and wiring them to physical on/off switch or the accessory switch (if your bike has one) on the motorcycle.
