New Handmade Murano Millefiori Glass Button Covers by SOMA Design Studio
These beautiful glass button covers are hand-made from Italian millefiori from the island of Murano in Venice. these millefiori are fused in the UK by SOMA design Studio (www.SomaDesignStudio.com) into beautiful glass cabochons, which have been mounted on a silver tone hinged button cover.
Millefiori is Italian for \'a thousand flowers\'; elegant glass flowers made in the centuries-old traditional way of layering coloured and transparent glass in multi-coloured flower designs. These button covers have been hand-made from half a dozen flowers fused together rather than a thousand, but the effect is just as beautiful.
There are thirteen different designs to choose from, available as a pair of button covers or in sets of four or six.
Button covers measure approx 18mm diameter. Accepts buttons up to (approximately) 16mm diameter and 3mm thickness. The silver-tone cover is hinged at one side and fastens securely around your button.
Button covers are supplied in a plain black presentation box.
Note that since these button covers are hand-made from a number of separate glass millefiori, slight variations in size, shape, colour and design of the finished articles are to be expected, though you will receive a closely-matching set, for example as pictured. If not in stock, your order will be made by hand once payment is received.
