My Two Satsuma matching Vases 19th Century:
$150.00

These are two late 19th Century (I am told) Satsuma matching vases. I bought them in the 1960s from a collector. The hand painted images on each is a mirror image of the other...with some variance as the artist wished. Vases are 9\" tall, very sturdy ...each weighs about 1 1/2 lbs. They are deep cobalt blue with quite a bit of gilded detail and very delicate pattern of birds, cranes, flowers, trees with raised features. I have read that this style is created with a double firing. There are no cracks, chips, discolorations. Both are signed as shown. They were appraised in 2008 for $600 - $900 the pair. The delicate detail on these is amazing compared to what I have seen on . Hate part with them, but age (mine) dictates some of this type of item must go.
Since I am not a collector, please ask questions and if you have more information on this type of vase, send me a note.I estimate shipping weight at 10 lbs so you can calculate.Make an offer if you wish.
I also have a beautiful Satsuma bowl purchased from the same collector..beautiful detail with village and people images inside the bowl.
Will ship with receipt verification. Foreign shipment OK, but I will need to calculate cost first. Can combine with other purchases for S&H savings. MO, certified or personal check or PayPal OK. See my other HOUSEHOLD TREASURES I am selling.
