THE STORY OF THIS sale

It’s a beautiful spring day and you have wandered off on a small cobblestone street on the magically enchanting Isle of Nantucket where a secret estate sale is underway under the giant elms. You are the only person around and you have first choice of EVERYTHING offered!

A woman with smiling eyes walks down the stairs from the 19th century home and tells you the story of the offerings:

“Once upon a time there lived an amazing and accomplished woman. She was the daughter of an early railroad executive. She grew up in the south and after completing her private girl’s school education and her round of debut parties, she headed off for her Ivy college years. Did she go for her MRS? No, in fact, she never married. Instead she went off and broke the glass ceiling for women of future generations. She worked for the government, spoke multiple languages, and lived all over the world. In our celebrity-obessessed world, no one would know who she was, but all that matters is that was a star to her family…and many women have opportunities today due to her trail-blazing. All these treasures were in storage and her family just uncovered them. NOTHING in these sales are less than 60 years old-many items are from the late 19th and early 20thcenturies. Others are from her travels to exotic foreign lands. Her family is generously donating a large share of the proceeds from these sales to raise funds to continue a program for future generations to further the education of children in the performance arts on the Island of Nantucket.She would be thrilled, for as an accomplished writer, she wrote plays with her nieces and nephews to perform when they were little, she always supported education, and she loved to visit her family during magical summers on the Enchanting Island of Nantucket.”

To save costs, rather than freight everything from the estate contents location in Virginia to the island, we have traveled to Virginia handle the sale. We MUST ship EVERYTHING no later than Friday, April 19th**! (As always, this is contingent on weather/shipping center business hours.)
