This is an absolutely gorgeous, large QUILT! STAR BURST quilt pattern with very pretty, burgundy scalloped edges and wide border, solid white backing, adequately detailed and exceptional hand quilting. Made with a beautiful variety of colors, using solid and patterned materials.

All quilts are hand-picked by us and purchased directly from Amish families in Lancaster County, PA.
Each quilt is stitched by hand taking an average of 700 hours to complete!!!
You could find light pencil markings from pattern line drawing. These lines wash out after the first wash. You can also find loose threading under the top white layer on some quilts which makeevery quilt even more unique.
Colors are much nicer in person, much brighter. The Pictures NEVER do the Quilts Justice!!

Quilts are a padded needle work covering made of three layers of fabric, cotton, wool or a similar fabric used for the front and back layers. The inner lining may be of wool, cotton or down. When a bed quilt is sewed together, the three layers are stretched over a round or rectangular frame to keep the fabric smooth and in shape. The stitches follow a design marked on the top layer. Small stiches are used so that the inner lining will not slip. The edges are bound with bias cloth. Colorful geometric or floral patterns may decorate the top of a quilt. The most common methods of design are piecing and applique. The top of a pieced quilt is made of many small pieces of fabric pieced together to form a pattern. In an appliqued quilt, cutout cloth designs are sewed or embroidered to the quilt top.
