From the bankruptcy liquidation of a retail store, this is such a COOL ring! (someone buy it quick, I\'m having a hard time taking it off my finger!!) It has some spectacular design elements...definitely not something you are likely to find many of (Because of the cut of the stone, I would have to say it would be considered \"one of a kind\"!
The ring made of is 14 karat yellow gold and weighs 6.5 grams. It is set with a traingular shaped Swiss Blue Color Topaz which measures 15.5mm at the longest \"tip to tip\" by 12.5mm Tip to Base\" by 7.0mm deep. Using a formula, I can estimate its weight at approximately 8 3/4 carats. The cutting is really quite masterful, the cutter carved lines into the faceted base as well as having the top come to a \"peak\" rather than just be a flat surface. (FYI, there is a small bit of what is known as \"paper wear\" on that peak, but it is not visible without magnification and a very good eye!)
The modern clean lines of the swirl of gold that goes over the stone the slight extra design and curve to the shank and even the fancier \"double\" prongs really make this a piece of wearable modern art!
The ring is currently a size 7 1/2, but can be resized by your local goldsmith. There is also a small amount of \"case wear\", mostly evident inside the shank, this occurs when a piece of jewelry is taken on and off of displays to show or put away at night. (You probably would not have noticed it if I had not mentioned it)
All together the ring is15mm at widest, the shank is 7.2 to 2.3mm at the base.

I buy AND sell BELOW \"wholesale\" prices--in other words, most items will be priced to YOU for less than what they originally cost the retail store from the manufacturer. I primarily sell to other brokers, dealers and to the retail stores. However, In this economy, many stores are getting scared--they are not buying as much for inventory but rather obtaining their merchandise on consignment, at an even higher price to them than if they purchased. All of this translates to a higher price to the end user--YOU! I am starting to list on once again in order to move my merchandise quickly. Please don\'t be afraid of what appears to be a great deal. I don\'t \"mark it up\" to discount it, I try to flip pieces for small profits and I make money via volume of items sold.
Since becoming more active on lately, I have sold quite a few items to other dealers and retail stores, who have relisted them here or taken advantage of the \"liquidation\" prices!
