This listing is forawonderfulantiqueBergman cold paintedVienna Bronze \"Tiger\" realistic details andfeatures.Enameled with cold painted technique (a naturalistic finishcreated by painting the new bronze with special enamel colors). As the process was often applied to the bronze casting while still warm, the natural shrinkage upon cooling added to the permanency of the color as itset the paint firmly into the metal.

In the late 19th Century a number of bronze foundries situated in Vienna and the Austrian/Bohemian border began to specialize in the technique of the cold painting patination process and thousands of these adorable novelty figurines were made and collected.

The figurineis in excellent condition with no dents ordings.Beautiful original paint, excellent condition.
