Nice Antique Victorian Hallmarked Solid Sterling Silver Trinket Box
Description - Splendid oval solid silver trinket box with hinged lid, the box is ornately embossed with flowers and leaves with a scroll cartouche on the lid, the interior is lightly gilded.
The box is hallmarked with the anchor for Birmingham assay, the lion passant indicating 925 grade solid sterling silver, the date letter \"W\" for the year 1896, the makers mark is rubbed but I can just about make out the letters \"D & ?\".
Condition - There is a split on the cartouche about 1cm, and a couple of pin holes on the lid, the hinge is in good condition closing the lid tightly.
Dimensions & Weight - The box is 8cm wide, the weight is 57.6 grams.
