Description A beautiful English antique solid sterling silverladies chatelaine powder compact by the silversmiths Adie & Lovekin Ltd, in excellent condition and with full English silver hallmarks for Chester 1917. Lovely qualitygenuine100 year old example, with an inset hinged lid and is all-over decorated with attractive reeded engraving. Complete with its original fully gilt-lined interior and mirror and also has its original large silver hallmarked attachment ring. As a bonus there are no added personal engraved inscriptions or monograms.

Measurements Measures approx 1.65 inches (43mm)in diameter and is 0.45 inches (12mm)deep.

Superb clear struck marks and there is a further silver hallmark on the attachment ring.Maker Silversmiths initials \"A & L Ld\", (Adie & Lovekin Ltd).ConditionExcellent condition, nosplits or cracksto the silver, no solder repairsand no knocks ordents, a nice clean example. The silverlid hinge works perfectly and the lid opens and closes tightly and securely. The interior gilding is virtually all still intact and the original interior mirror has no cracks or hairlines, just slight age foxing.
