This is a beautiful, delicate antique Nippon porcelain syrup pitcher with underplate and lid crafted by Royal Crockery of Japan in 1911-1912. This elegant pitcher is handpainted with raised encrusted moriage and beaded gold, a pink rose adorns each side with greenleaves below a distinctly oriental design with more beaded gold.Gold paint andbeaded gold and moriagedecorates the base, top rim, spout, underplate and lid, very beautiful.

The syrup pitcher holds 12 ounces, it stands 5.5 inches from finial to base...The hexagonal underplate measures 5 7/8 inches in diameter.

There is a small chip at the base of the pitcher (see pictures). Marked for RC in a green wreath with Noritake on the left and Nippon on the right and Handpainted at the bottom.
