Lovely little black Hollywood magnetic ashtray from the 50s or 60s. An NOS and *almost* MIB item like most of my collection, but has a stress/age hairline crack down the side (please see photos for details). I have several of these ashtrays, and EVERY SINGLE ONE of them has a crack like this (please see also the green one that I am selling). As you will know if you have a 30s, 40s or 50s car with a cracked steering wheel, these cracks do not form as a consequence of use or maltreatment, but simply because of age - a lot of early plastics were made from organic material and were unstable in the long term. However, the hairline crack down the side really does not detract significantly from the item\'s appearance (call it patina - I like old stuff to look old and I HATE modern Chinese repops). It is also not expensive, is in great shape apart from the one flaw, and has a lovely period box - and it is a great way to add some period charm to your 40s, 50s or 60s car.
