This is a New Old Stock Sheaffer Salesman\'s sample attache case, dating to circa 1987.
Not sure if the contents were originally issued with the case, but we are listing its contents accurately.
Contains 14 Targa pens/pencils total (so 14 items total, some are pens, some are pencils), 9 Cap emblems, 12 Clip emblems and a 1020 Cartridge Case, a 1020 Gift Box and a Targa Gift Box.
Each pen/pencil has a paper label on the side identifying it by model name and number.
In the photograph, from LEFT to RIGHT, the pens are:1) Silver Targa white dot, 1000 PENCIL had a Pepsi cap emblem. This pencil does write. Body says Sheaffer USA.
2) Silver Targa white dot, 1000 medium Ballpoint PEN, has a logo on its cap (top); body says Sheaffer USA. It does write.
3) Silver Targa white dot 1001, PENCIL, this has an ISUZU clip emblem on it. Body says Sheaffer USA. The pencil does work.
4) Silver Targa white dot 1001 medium Ballpoint PEN, this has a Texaco clip emblem. Body says Sheaffer USA. The pen does write.
5) Black Targa white dot Roller Ball PEN. Body says Sheaffer USA. It needs a new cartridge, not working currently. The cap is imprinted on the side with: Manville OEM.
6) Black Targa white dot 1003 medium Ballpoint PEN. This has a clip emblem with the lettering VIP on it. The body says Sheaffer USA. The pen does write.
7) Black Targa white dot 1003 PENCIL. This says ROPER on the clip emblem. Body says Sheaffer USA. The pencil does work.
8) Gold white dot Targa 1005 PENCIL. The cap emblem says: IBM. The body says Sheaffer USA Gold Electroplated (with a Crown). The pencil does work.
9) Gold white dot Targa 1005 Medium Ball Point PEN. The cap emblem has the logo for Merceds Benz. The body says Sheaffer USA Gold Electroplated (with a Crown). The pen does write.
10) Gold white dot Targa 1020 Medium FOUNTAIN PEN. This has on its clip emblem: 3M. The body says: Sheaffer USA Imperial Brass. The NIB says: Sheaffer USA, 14k, 585. This needs a new cartridge, not currently working.
11) Gold whtie dot Targa 1005 Medium FOUNTAIN PEN. The clip emblem says: Roper. The body says: Gold Electroplated Sheaffer USA (with a Crown on it). The NIB says: Sheaffer USA, 14k, 585.
12) Gold white dot Targa 1005 Roller Ball PEN. The clip emblem says: Stran. The body says: Sheaffer USA, Gold Electroplated (with a Crown on it). The pen needs a new cartridge, not currently working.
13) Gold white dot Targa 1020 RB. This Roller Ball PEN has a clip emblem that says: Phillips 66. The body says: Sheaffer USA, Imperial Brass. This needs a new cartridge, not currently working.
14) Gold white dot Targa 1020 medium Ball Point PEN. The clip emblem has an \"M\" on it for the McDonald\'s logo!) (has the arches in the \"M\"). The body says: Sheaffer USA, Imperial Brass. This does write.There may be the smallest scratches here or there on the pens/pencils, but they are in very good condition.The \"bottom\" of the attache case has in its gray foam:
12 clip emblems (see photo). Not sure if over the years that they were not moved around, meaning they might not be in their exact order as was originally intended. Logos here include: Pepsi, Shell, American Express, DuPont, American Airlines, Peterbilt, SAAB, Bonanza, Digital, Audi (the rings).9 cap emblems, including: GM, Mercedes Benz, Bell Telephone, IBM, GE, AT&T, BMW and an eagle (this might be for the US Post Office).3 boxes/cases - they are, from the top, 1020 Cartridge Case, 1020 Gift Box and a Sheaffer White Dot Targa Gift Box.A little envelope inside the main large document compartment contains 2 keys for the attache. The plate that says Die Struck Clip Emblems has a slight bend to it.Sold as is.
