Named Pre-WWII US Marine Group - Alphas + Blues + Research:
$300.00

Really cool group to a pre-WWII US Marine (1939-1941), who later was an AAF bombardier during WWII.  His USMC records are included, but I couldn\'t find anything on what he did in WWII.  My friend bought this from the vet\'s son who said his dad was a sharpshooter in the USMC and that he kept a big shadowbox of shooting medals.

Alphas are very nice, with a 1927-28 dated blouse.  Nice shape with only light wear and very minor dings.  I don\'t see a date in the trousers.

The blues are very nice too.  Blouse is dated 1934-35, and the trousers are 1935-36.  Here too, only light wear and very minor dings.  There is a small moth hole on one cuff of the jacket, but it is hard to notice.  Tiny hole towards the bottom of a leg.  Some light discoloration beside some of the brass buttons on the blouse, but obviously, not visible when buttoned.  Still, an excellent set.

Also comes with the frame to his USMC visor cap (missing the rest of the parts, obviously).

Really cool group of rare and desirable pre-war USMC uniforms!  His AAF uniforms were listed separately since this group is just too huge.

Excellent items that would look great in a USMC or WWII display!

PLEASE note the following conditions of this listing:

First, I’m not a dealer, liquidator, or a business. I’m a collector who is passing on stuff to others. I have a real job and a family that occupies most of my time. So please bear with me if I don’t immediately respond to questions, etc.

Second, these items are historical artifacts, not Halloween costumes, etc., so I cannot take returns because the item doesn’t fit you, etc.

Third, you MUST carefully review each photograph and ASK ALL QUESTIONS BEFORE offerDING. The item is not “not as described” if some attribute is depicted in the photographs and you later disagree with my description in some way. For example, if I say the item is in “nice condition” and you only think it’s “good condition,” that doesn’t mean the item is mis-described – it means we have a difference of opinion. I’m trying as hard as I can to honestly describe these items, and with ’s new policy that the seller must pay for return shipping, we need to be on the same page so I am not financing free, in-hand tire-kicking for everyone.

Fourth, please pay within 4 days of the sale closing. If you do not pay within that period, I reserve the right to issue a second-chance offer to the next-highest buyer or re-list the item.

Finally, as to international buyers – FYI – international shipping is rather expensive. Depending on the price or size of the item, it may have to be sent priority, which is even more expensive.

Sorry for all the fine print, but I’ve run into a few bad apples and want to make a few things clear from the get-go. Thanks!
