Detailed description:
This is a great historic item. Napoleonic Prisoners of War carved boxes, often with domino sets, from whatever material they could get their hands on, often ox bone as in this case. This set is coloured with red and black and the box, with sliding lid, is quite intricately carved.
The dominoes goes up to 7 rather than six so that the complete set would be 37 pieces rather than the standard 28. Here there are 36 pieces.
