Here is a ANTIQUE NAVAJO LATE TRANSITIONAL ERA SADDLE BLANKET FROM ABOUT 1900, HAND WOVEN WITH RESERVATION HAND SPUN, HAND CARDED AND HAND DYED WOOLS. This blanket is hand woven from hand spun and hand carded beautiful Churro Sheep Wools - the shades of black, grey and white, are made from hand spun and carded natural Churro Sheep Wools. The red, pink, purple shades are hand dyed wools with combinations of commercial and vegetal Dyes. Note the many Lazy Lines within this weaving.

The size of this textile is approximately 50\" X 28\",with a hand spunwool warp of about 8 (hand carded warp), and a hand spun Wool Weft of about 20 - weft varies due to hand spun and carded wools (a nicely woven and very durable weave).Abeautifully designed and well constructed piece of NativeAmerica!CONDITION - HAS WEAR and TEAR! (Please see all pics!): The wools within this rug are in great condition (still have luster and sheen), however it is used and worn as you can see from the pictures. There are a couple of small holes, a small repair one one side edge, snags, minor bleeding...The Selvage Cords are made from HORSE HAIR, not wool, looks like tail and mane hair, this is very unique- the Side and End Horse Hair Selvage cords are worn and broken in places. The corners are in worn condition, with loss (see pics for corners).
