I am offering for your consideration a gorgeous pendant shaped like a big water drop with a gem quality turquoise stone of a similar shape to the pendant. The pendant is overlay work with the double spiral shape, a shape that is considered by some cultures to represent the space between time, between our world and the next. The symbol is found in Chaco Canyon as well as in caves and ancient sites around the world. I was told that at summer solstice the shadow are shortest and the arc is concave and at winter solstice the shadows are longest and the arc is convex. In archaic astronomy these were known as the \"horns of the solstice\" and at equinox the shadow is straight. If the shadows of the sun are correlated over the period of one year in chronological order following their curvature they form a double spiral. In winter the spiral is counter-clockwise and the coils are wide. The shadows begin to straighten as equinox approaches, and after equinox they begin to wind into a clockwise spiral and tighten. They contract until the summer solstice, straighten again at equinox and return to a left-handed spiral again in winter to continue the process perpetually. The pendant has powerful symbolism, a magnificent stone, and shape and size.

The pendant measures about 3-5/16\" high with the bale, about 3-1/8\" high without the bale, and about 2\" wide at the widest point. The natural gorgeous gem quality turquoise stone is about 1-1/4\" long and 3/4\" wide. The weight is a substantial 37 grams. The bezel for the stone is hand made and lovely. The condition is excellent collectible, wearable and vintage. It is signed TC and 2975. The hallmark is similar to the Tobe Turpin hallmark but has that curl for the C. I wasn\'t able to identify the artist. Anyone?

Your invoice will allow you to choose the shipping method.

International buyers pay actual shipping cost and are responsible for any customs fees their own countries may apply. I generally use Express International, which is tracked and insured, but can always consider Priority Mail International if that is your preference. It\'s less expensive and is tracked, but usually cannot be insured. To the UK and Canada, even First Class International can be used because it can be tracked to those countries.
