This 29 x 44 Saddle Blanket beauty is in Excellent Condition. The symmetrical geometric design is very similar to those from the 2 gray hills area. It was obviously woven to be used as a saddle blanket, but never was. There are ticks of white throughout the pattern. This rug shows no wear. The hand dyed red and gray yarns show rich color variations visible in pictures 2 and 3. These differing yarn intensities really punctuate the weaver\'s hesitation lines. There is no color difference from front to back, so red and gray intensity is spectacular. The weave is tight and the rug has a wonderful heft to it. All 4 corners are intact and the bright white edge yarns frame the rug beautifully. Why buy a rug you can\'t show off? This larger single saddle blanket is perfect for hanging. By the way, rugs like this one in excellent condition are rare. It is unlikely you will see one again.
