Sunshine\'s won numerous awards including one Best of Show and Best in Category at the prestigious Gallup Ceremonial competition, and examplars of his work appear in many of the best Native American collecting guides as well as many well known private collections.

And if the foreign copies weren\'t bad enough, recently a highly reputable Gallup trader told me that (1) a jewelry manufacturing company in a large New Mexico city is making copies of Sunshine\'s bracelets and stamping them with acounterfeit hallmark and (2) an Arizona retail physical and online store is selling counterfeit Sunshine Reeves ring for $50 which isconsiderablyless than Sunshine wholesales them for to traders. So pay attention of the adages that you get what you pay for and if the price seems too good to be true...you know the rest.

This scalloped edge cuff style profusely hand stamped bracelet features the Four Directions design which also incorporates the Medicine Wheel. When the four color version is used, different tribes from different parts of the country ascribe slightly different meaning to each direction. There are several excellent sites on the internet which explain in great deal about the various meanings, and I heartily recommend them because they\'re simply fascinating. In short, when a Native American prays to the four directions, it is a prayer to the spirits of the world, to life and the Great Spirit that encompasses the four directions and everything that is. The Medicine Wheel is a symbol that incorporates the four directions. Its spokes point east, south, west, and north. The four quarters are colored red, yellow, black, and white representing the races of man, the seasons, and the stages of life from childhood to old age. The circle is the earth, the moon and the planets. It is the circle of life and all creation.

Sunshine nested hand stamped sunshine designs inside the bracelet\'s scalloped edges with seven additional rows of rain storm, mountain,and and second style of sunshine designs. The bracelet is 2 and 1/8th\" wide in the center around the medicine wheel and then narrows slightly to 1 13/16ths\" from terminal to terminal. It has an inside measurement of 5 and 5/8ths\" with avery carefullyadjustable opening of 1 and 3/8ths.\" If your wrist is 6¾\" to 7¼\" in circumference, this should fit with little or no gentle adjustment of the shanks and/or terminals.
