Navajo Weaver Doll with Loom & Papoose (Baby) --- NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN --- beautiful wood loom with partially completed rug
The weaver is seated in front of her beautiful loom with her yarn to her left and her baby (papoose) to her right. Her beautiful skirt is spread out behind her on white / ivory fur. Her long sleeved dark velvet blouse and her hair are decorated with silver sequins and turquoise color beads. Her earrings and necklace are also made of the little white and turquoise color beads. The rug she is hand weaving is gray, black, white, and red . The base of this three dimensional scene / sculpture is a rectangular wood board (9\"x 5 1/2\" x 3/4\") completely covered in a thin blue fabric. The height of the loom\'s frame is 10\" the left and 10\" at the right. The loom is over 9\" wide.The collector from where it was purchased is on the business cardThis 20th century Native American craft is in very good condition.
