~ABOUT BRENDA JIMENEZ (BARBONE)~Formally known as Brenda Barbone,Brenda is a resident of ABQ.NM but was raised in Smith Lake,NM which is between Crownpoint & Thoreau,NM.Brenda learned to silversmith at the young age if 11 & learned the art from her mother Lorraine Barbone..Brenda is from the \"Bitter Water Clan\" which is apart of the Navajo Reservation.
DESCRIPTION:Made of a simple bezel setting that are on the more Navajo \"contemporary\" side. Brenda lets the stone \'speak\' for themselves without any sterling work taking any attention away from them.Simple,but say so much..They are made with a 8 stone cabochon drop & are soldered connected.They have lots of movement..With this style,they can elongate the features & the great thing about these is you can take the look down a notch & wear them with denim or you can put on a more designer outfit & pull your hair up, for a more elegant look!Regardless,these can\'t help but be noticed..Also even though these are Navajo & made of turquoise,they will look good no matter what part of the country you live in!You have your choice of either the Fox turquoise which are filled with lots of caramel matrix & are on the blue/green side,or the more blue,blue Carico Lake turquoise ones with very little to no matrix. Both are pretty,it would just be a personal preference.
