Beautifully Crafted Hand Made Roman Gladius Sword & Sheath

This sword has a crack in the wood in the handle, a blemish on the blade and the tip isn\'t perfectly symmetrical. These imperfections can be viewed in the last three photos. This is still a nice piece, being sold at a discount.

The Gladius was a short sword used for stabbing from behind a large shield. It was perfect for the highly affective tactics that the Legionnaires developed. There is no doubt that this weapon was the mainstay of the Roman empire. This is a beautiful reproduction of that Gladius.
