You are offerding on a large original antique print from an 1880s illustrated journal. The quality of the printing from that era was exceptional.

It depicts a lively, crowded Polish immigrant marketplace in New York. Some men appear to be dressed in traditional Jewish kapote. The traditional dress of Jewish men in Poland was unusual because it was black, a color rare in Polish attire.

The print is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 11 x 16 inches (28 x 40.5 cm). The picture fills most of the page, with a caption below.

The caption reads: A Polish Trading Post in New York -- Drawn by A. Berghaus

The page is in excellent condition for its age Except for a fox mark (light brown stain) in the upper left sky portion of the print. There is text/photos on the back of the print. See scan for an accurate view of the condition.
