Thank you and Happy Holiday Season to All early cutlass of French origin dating from anywhere between 18th to early 19th century probably has been in service all through the Napoleonic wars era. Wearing a lightly curved single edged blade with one spinal fuller to each side, exhibiting light gray patina with areas of fine pitting. Mounted with a nice open work brass basket hilt having lovely seashell guard and spiraled solid brass grip and fluted pommel, showing remains of original gilt finish now with much wear. Overall completely solid and intact.
