Description We are pleased to offer this nice antique Chinese carved bamboo statue of Xi Wangmu with a deer. Most likely, it dates to the 19th century. It stands about 17 inches tall with the stand. There are some condition issues to note. There is some wear from age and use. There is scattered loss to the deer antlers, fingers, top knot and headdress, etc.... The bottom of the right hind leg of the deer may have had loss and been recarved. There is worm damage. It looks like the head has been off at the neck and been reglued. The stand is a likely later replacement. This nice antique Chinese bamboo carving is fresh from an old estate.Please note: if the actual shipping costs are significantly less than the estimated shipping costs, we will be happy to make the appropriate refund.
