Very Nice, Very Useful Large Goebel / Hummel Porcelain Figurine, \"HELLO CHEF PERPETUAL CALENDAR\", #788/A

DESCRIPTION:Wonderful large Hummel porcelain figurine by W. Goebel, \"HELLO CHEF PERPETUAL CALENDAR\", #788/A. It features the Chef Hello figure, talking on the telephone, as part of the porcelain base. Attached to the figure\'s telephone by a gold cord is the plastic shield that says: \"TW, Temporarily Withdrawn\". Next to the figure, is the fine dark brown wooden frame that holds the calendar pages.

The perpetual calendar part is interesting, AND OF COURSE USEFUL......it consists of cards for each of the 12 months and 7 different cards for 30 days in different order so that you can use it for any month in any year !!

Made in Germany and so marked on the bottom. This lovely piece has the usual manufacturing information, Goebel, inspector marks, Germany, etc. on the bottom. Also has \"788/A\" and \"71\". It also has \"95\" handwritten in black ink. It has a full bee as well, without a \"V\". On the back of the base is a small label saying \"Chef Hello\".

It measures 6 1/4\" tall x 2 1/2\" wide x 7 1/4\" long. In excellent condition. No original box, like most available for sale, but a nice clean piece from a NON-SMOKING home. Excellent condition.

This is a nice, unusual Hummel item for a gift or collection, especially with the calendar !!! I don\'t believe there were many of these made vs. the more common, earlier pieces.
