This is a very nice example of an early detector panel made by the Radio Electric Company of Pittsburgh, PA circa 1920. The Radio Electric Company was an early manufacturer/distibutor of amateur wireless items and can be noted in early post WWI QST magazine advertisements. Early modular units such as this are very hard to find and highly desired by collectors!

This unit also includes a brass based, tipped UV -200 detector tube with good filament. Markings on the tube base remain clear and legible while both the RCA and GE etchings on the envelope are apparent.

The detector panel is in good condition with a wonderful patina. There are original factory panel repairs on the left side which are not uncommon for early \"back room\" manufacturing dealers. You can barely notice them without close inspection and they do not deter from the intrinsic attraction of this early piece!
