Up for your consideration is this very nice vintage retro looking General Electric bakelite tube AM radio in fantastic working condition. The model number on this wonderful radio is 200 & it was produced in the 1952 era. The cabinet on this radio is made out of bakelite or thick plastic. The is a dark chocolate marbled brown in color which the marbling effect shows best in bright light. This cabinet has been cleaned & polished which still retain it\'s original sheen or shine & the shine it produces is very nice. Now as nice as this radio looks & it does look nice but it is not perfect as there are some very small scratches & nicks & a repaired crack on the left rear side done by the previous owner. I have taken many pictures so you may get a good view at this very nice looking & working radio.The glass AM dial scale is in fantastic condition with great graphics & a new working dial light has been installed & it also has a very cool looking gold dial pointer that is in great working condition. The bakelite speaker grill that wraps around on both sides is cool looking & in great condition. Both control knobs are original & in fantastic condition. The original back panel is present & in great condition that holds on tight & secure. The antenna system is mounted onto the inside of the back panel & it is in great condition.The chassis is in good condition & it is a 6-tube unit with 2-controls & both controls have been lubricated & are in great working condition. The chassis has had all new electrolytic capacitor/filters installed & all paper/wax capacitors have been replaced. This radio has been restored to great working condition.When this beautiful looking GE is powered up, it pulls in AM stations all around that cool looking dial scale & plays them clean & clear with plenty of volume in my area.This GE radio would make an excellent addition to your radio collection or as a stand alone radio as it\'s power & beauty will surely be the talk of the room by all whom enter.This is a vintage radio & must be handled & cared for & treatedin this manor & not like a modern day boombox. Tube radio technology\"unlike modern daysolid state radios\"can have interference/noise in thesound quality,caused bykitchen appliances, computer monitors, flat screen TV\'S,florescent lights, washing machines, high power wires/lines above your home, etc... So where you position/place this radio in your home canmake a hugedifference & the direction/position it is set in. A lot of tube radios are directionalmeaning you\"may\" have to turntheradioone way or the other to receive thebest reception. Tube radios usually take 30 to 45 seconds after they have been turned/powered ON before they start playing as the tubes have to warm up.The approximate size of this fabulous & beautiful gem is 12\" long 7-1/2\" wide & 7-3/4\" high.
