This offering is for an early, I believe circa 1920\'s, Ludwig Wooden Shell Snare Drum. I am not in any way an expert on drums so please read the description and view the photo\'s below so you will have a good clear idea of exactly what you are offerding on. The drum features a wood shell and rims with metal thumb screw adjustable lugs. On the side above the vent hole is a small decal that simply reads \"LUDWIG TRADE MARK\". There is also a decal of an Eagle with a 30 star American Flag and having the name \"AMERICA\" in block lettering above. The drum has a height measurement of 11\" from one end of the rims to the other. The shell diameter is app. 14½\" and the shell by itself measures app. 8½\" tall. The lug rods have small bends in a couple of them that need to be straightened. There is a bit of light scattered surface rust on the metal parts that should also be polished up. The snare mechanism is shown in close up below and appears to be complete. The bottom head is missing, the top head is intact and usable. The finish is in very nice condition with typical wear from use but no abuse. There are no breaks, cracks, splits or repairs and it displays beautifully.
