Nice rarely seen late1800s/early 1900s Doulton Lambeth Elizabethan sprigged jug:
$89.99

We are listing this very nice rarely seen late 1800s or early 1900s Doulton Lambeth Elizabethan sprigged stoneware jug. The jug is in an unusual shape for Doulton, and the Elizabethan sprigging (four noble couples at a feast - perhaps a Shakespearean wedding scene) is a very rarely seen design, only used on this style jug to my knowledge. The jug is marked on the bottom with an impressed Doulton Lambeth logo with ENGLAND under it (which was used beginning in 1891), the impressed number 3517, and separately impressed letters p p, h, and o (or 0). The sprigging on the four happy couples as well as the ornate decorative swags below them is very well done, and the jug makes a beautiful and decorative display piece. It is 6.75 inches tall, 6.75 inches at its widest point, and it is in very good condition (the handle is very slightly off kilter). Please view the closeup pictures and judge for yourself. A most unique and attractive piece of antique Doulton stoneware.

We can currently only accept offers on this from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada. Shipping to the United Kingdom and Canada will be charged at cost. Payment must be made by Paypal within three days of the sale ending.
