Offeredfor your consideration here is what is known as a Gohonzon Buddhist scroll used in worship in various Nichiren Buddhist Sects. All the Nichiren sects of this Buddhism venerate the founder 13th century priest known as Nichiren Daishonin (Nichiren Shonin in some sects).

They focus their prayers towards the scroll and chant the words Nam Myoho Renge Kyo (some sects say Namu followed by Myoho Renge Kyo).

This scrollis a miniature version of the Gohonzon known as OMAMORI or TALISMAN with the Nichikan Shonin (26th High Priest) inscription used bypractitionersof the SGI (Soka Gakkai International).

It is encased in a Custom Made stainless metallic silver colored Travel Case.

We have acquired numerous Original Omamori Talisman Gohonzon\'s from former practitioners of Buddhism who no longer want to practice. Some of these Omamori\'s havedamage to the original case (ie: case cracked, no door, piece or pieces of case missing, etc).

The Gohonzon scroll themselves ARE NOT damaged in anyway and are intact in their individual clear plastic acrylic seals.

What is being offered here NOW are some of the damaged Omamori\'s we haveacquired and we have had them professionallyremounted by a certified Jeweler into a more sturdy and durable housing.

The case itself is made of durable stainless metal with a Gold SGI Lotus Symbol on the front. The mini Gohonzon scroll is intact in its original plastic acrylic seal and has been removed from its original damaged plastic case AND has beenpermanentlyre-enshrined into a more durable metallic case and mounted into a recess of 22K Gold leaf layered over wood enclosure and acrylic base.

Each case-altar is handcrafted by the certified Jeweler, not machine mass made so each individual item is unique and different.

The entire new case-altar measures approx: 1.75 inches by 3.25 inches.

These new cases are much more sturdy and durable than the originals as the originals sometime break because they are made of plastic and over time with constant opening and closing the door covering the Gohonzon, the plastic cracks in parts of the case or the door comes off the hinges, etc.

Also, the new cases are large enough to carry in your pocket or purse without getting lost. AND NOW one can just take out the case and open it and stand it upright on end without having to put the case into one of those travel butsudan mini-altars you have seen to accent the Omamori Gohonzon......this new case-altar does that now!!!

These are limited to how many Omamori we receive with their cases damaged. Once we receive more, we will have them remounted with the Jeweler in Japan.

Our understanding and research shows that these Omamori Talisman Gohonzon\'s are only given out to long time practicing members of the Buddhist Order. Also our understanding is that these are not easily obtainable outside of the SGI. The only way to get one is to become a member of the SGI or try and find them through a seller on the internet like here on . Even then it is very hard for the seller to obtain one let alone more than one. They are very difficult to come by.
