Seated 28” Santa

“Old man of the Mountains”

We have been making Santa’s a long time now.

This one looks like he has just walked out

of the deep mountain country.

He is wise and warm and comfortable.

He speaks deeply of times past.

I dearly love this Santa

Very German looking and he is

loaded with hand made toys from our studio including a full Putz time lamb.

David insists on heavily toying them up.

I took the pictures on my unclean bench

in the background you will see a Santa that is soon going on a moon with a child.

The moon itself has a molded face.

Watch for it.

Santa is of course signed and dated,

fully armatured, hand molded, hand painted

and his coat is cut from a marvelous old

velvet piece from Victorian Times.

It has a lovely print and I am sure it was

once a Victorian Drape. It is in the

Loveliest soft moss green.

He is posable even his head is. He has a curly wool beard and a mink trimmed hat and collar.

His boots are hand cut wood and finished by whittling.

He speaks to my heart and this one I dearly love.

Just look at that face!!!
