OCTOPUS SOAPBERRY SPOON BY TIM ALFRED 12TA8 Dimensions: Height: 15 Inches, Width: 3 Inches, Depth: 1 Inches

Northwest Coast British Columbia First Nations artist and Hereditary Chief Tim Alfred created this lovely Soapberry Spoon from traditional red cedar. A Soapberry Spoon was utilized in making a frothy dessert, also known as \"Indian Ice Cream\". Soapberries, which are quite bitter, are collected and often mixed with other berries in order to sweeten the substance. They are then crushed and vigorously whipped with water to make red foam. Tim has beautifully added the image of Octopus onto the spoon. The artist has signed the back of the spoon and I will provide a copy of his biography to the winner of the sale. Shipping: Canada $16.00, United States $18.00, International 20.00. Free shipping within North America when 2 or more listings are purchased.
