This is the Official republican Inauguration Cover honoring Gerald R. Ford which was postmarked August 9, 1974 in Washington DC. The stamp features crossed Flags and has a value of ten cents. The cachet pictures Gerald Ford withthe quote\"...there is no way we can go forward except together\" and in red, Gerald R. Ford, President, August 9, 1974.The fine print at the bottom is \"Limited Edition\". This cover has light marks, possible discoloration due to age and someminor creasing to the top left and bottom right corners. The flap is intact with the original gum.
